“ This is a small restaurant at the end of a strip mall that is relatively unassuming from the outside--except for the neon flashing lights lol. It is a counter service restaurant with a fantastic salsa bar, it is what my SoCal husband calls "legit". We ordered 3 tacos each and split a tamale which was the El Salvador kind wrapped in a banana leaf and containing meat and potato. It was all delicious, like really really tasty. My husband ordered 3 carnitas, I has 1 pastor, 1 carnitas, and 1 carne asada. The asada was my favorite. Their green salsa was so good, and my hubby loved the red. We will definitely pop in here again. If you enjoy street tacos, check it out! ”

“ I tried the food from this restaurant yesterday for the first time and let me tell you.... It was delicious! I ordered carne asada fries and mixed pupusas and I will definitely go back for more. The red salsa from their self service bar was excellent. The service was great and my food was ready fast. I highly recommended it to everyone. ”
“ This place is awesome. I was on my way to a boring lunch at Wendy's when a coworker said "let's go to Jalapeño Tacos KC." Man that was the right decision! I walked up to the counter not knowing what I wanted and saw this beautiful steak quesadilla come out. I said, "I'll have one of those!" It's so good, great steak paired with the perfect melted cheese and tortilla. I've been here a few times and it hits the spot every time. The inside of this place is pretty cool too. Lots of Mexican wrestling stuff on the walls and KC sports teams all over. It's a really great spot. They are also about to open an ice cream place attached to the restaurant and I'm sure that won't disappoint. ”

This is now THE spot! 3 in my party all loved what they ordered. I got the fish taco salad and portion size was excellent and the flavor was delicious! Seriously. The topping bar had all my favorites like extra onion, pickled onion and cilantro. The atomosphere is very casual and KC sports oriented and coupled with the upmeat music it made for a fun spot. Definitely recommend trying out Jalapenos and I hope to be back soon. A++ ”
